Why unilag students protest

Students of the University of Lagos marched in protest against what they believed were injustices meted against student.University students, under the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), marched in peaceful protest against the management of the school, forcing the University to shut down activities. The peaceful protest was held in solidarity of the student union leaders suspended by the school authorities. They echoed the demands ofthe rusticated leaders; provide basic amenities.(Twitter)The protest was perfectly timed for the visit of the Vice President of India,Mohammad Hamid Ansari. It looks like the Indian Presidency seems to be having a run of bad luck with West African Universities. One of the consequences of India's President Pranab Mukherjee to the University of Ghana, led to a protest. The protests this year first began when student leaders protested the poor management and inability to provide basic amenities in the University. A consequence of this protest was the rustication of a student leader Olufemi Adeyeye.
