On the 24th of november 2016, the second annual international conference of the faculty of arts, chukwuemeka odumegwu ojukwu university, which was held at the TETFund Auditorium took place. The event was graced by notable personalities, some of which were: a representative of the governor of anambra state, in the person of HON.Odili, Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi Kingdom, Igwe Alfred Achebe of Onitsha, other notables and the Chief Host, Prof. Fidelis Okafor, the vice chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam Canpus.
Chief Walter Chigbo, who was also present at the occasion, donated a hall that could contain a thousand students. He was also made the patron of the Faculty of Arts, COOU. At the end of the event, several awards were presented to the dignitaries for their efforts towards the school and the nation.
The event was anchored by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, COOU in the person of Dr. Mrs Ngozi Chuma Udeh. The commander of the Nigerian Immigration service, Anambra Division, in the person of Sir Lawal O.R. was a keynote speaker at the event, and in his speech, he advised the students of the school to help bring peace to the nation.
