Prof Fidelis Uzochukwu Okafor is a man of high repute. He was born at Onitsha in 1950 and is married with three wonderful children. He happens to be a native of Ukwulu in Dunukofia L.G.A, Anambra state, Nigeria. He was born to the family of Pa Michael and Mrs. Veronica Okafor.
Prof Fidelis attended All Hallows Seminary, Onitsha, Anambra state, 1966-1972 and had his G.C.E in the University of London 1972. He bagged B.A Urban University, Rome 1973-1976, M.A Urban University, 1980-1982.Fahigkeits Zeugmas for Deust School, Eurocentrum, Cologne Germany, 1991, LLB (Hons) University of Nigeria, Nsukka 1987-1995.In 1997 he became a full professor.
While in University of Nigeria, Nsukka, he served as the lecturer II; 1982-1984, lecturer I; 1984-1986 and became a senior lecturer 1986-1997 before becoming a full professor after which he was made the provost of Nwafor Orizu college of education by the former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi in the year 2007-2010, later on he was appointed the vice chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu university formerly known as Anambra State university in 2011-til date.
He is a true leader.
